Hi, thought you guys might want to look at this. I think they're after scripts that are "out there" so not you're average stuff which might be good news for all of us who are tired of the same old same old.
I'm not too sure though about how it works. If you write an amazing script and they ask you back but you've never directed before... what happens then?
Then you have 250 dollars to motivate you.
The bigger problem may be that its an American competition.
Residents of the United Kingdom over 18 can enter.
There's 13 days left and I've got a pretty wacky script I like, it's nowhere near finished but the contest is free so it's worth a punt.
I should also add this contest is featured on BBC Writersroom so it's reputation must be fairly solid.
My problem is that you'd have to get over to the US if you'd won. Also you'd get more competitors if people from the UK and US enter.
