You guys must be sick of introductory threads, but anyway...
Hi - I'm Jon, username Barbs derives from my Italian surname. I work as a writer for the BBC - doing web stuff including sport, however, before you ask, I don't have any great commissioning contacts within comedy.
I write comedy sketches with a mate, but,as yet, nothing has happened with them - largely because we haven't sent any off to the wider world. I might well put a few up here for feedback at some point. We also write a bit of stand-up, though I leave it to him to perform, less painful that way.
I have also written a couple of books and created a few random websites. I've made ripples, but want to actually make a splash in comedy writing somehow. But then don't we all...
So anyway, hi. Thank god that's the introduction done with. I've had an initial look round the site and seen loads of quality writing, but will have a more in-depth gander now.
