Doctor Who... Page 825

I might drink a pint of absinthe tomorrow and stick some classic Who on.

There's some early ones on Netflix
And a free trial on the Wii.
WiiHooh!

I've got about 40 DVDs, so I'll probably just stick to them.

The early ones are all Hartnell & Troughton.
I don't mind a bit of Dr No2, but I'd rather watch Pertwee/Baker.

Saw Invasion of the Dinosaurs recently. A good Pertwee story with some truly shit/of the time fx.

Just watched Pyramids of Mars, very good. Love the old classically trained British actors they got in to play the parts. Unlike the modern Who that chooses it's cast based on whichever celebrity f**kwit happens to popular at the moment.

Will probably watch Seeds of Doom aka Ben's Spunk next.

I've seen clips of those FX and they're pretty shoddy. Plasticine, innit?

Pyramids was the first non-current Dr Who I ever watched. Got it on VHS in about 1987 and loved it ever since.

I think they were free with Weetabix at the time.

And, yes, Pyramids is yer actual classic Who. That and Genesis of the Daleks are bloody fab.

Well I hardly expected that you had to collect tokens and send off for them.

I'd love to see some plasticine monsters in modern Who. And at least one whole episode scored by Stylophone. But, oh no, it's all bleedin' cowboy hats and bleedin', bloody, symphony orchestra's these days.

Yeah and men kissing other men. Probably.

And James Corden!

I would love that too.

Yes,I mean to say, you wouldn't have seen William 'Bill' Hartnell having a snog with Ian Chesterton, would you? Or Tom Baker sticking his grubby paw up Ian Marter's jumper. Dirty boys, these days.

And James Corden!

And bleedin', bloody, effing James Corden!

Ew, the old Doctors were right dirty old men, shagging companions left right and centre.
Well okay, just Tom Baker.
