Still reading pro-ana sites, thoroughly fascinating. Quite weirded out that there seems to be a lot more in-depth nutritional information than you ever see in papers/mags/'normal' sites
I know someone who used to be a member of several pro-ana forums. Scary places. They're still sign up to them, but I'm assured they're non-pro (whatever the terminology is) forums now. But it's sad to hear that they loose members quite frequently to the illness or suicide.
I saw something about Fearne Cotton's picture being used on a thinspiration site, so I thought they just had very skinny, but generally nice looking people on there. Not actual corpse looking people.
I know anorexics see their own bodies 'wrongly', ie as fat when they are painfully thin, but for some reason I didn't realise when they looked at other skeletal women they thought it looked good.
It's an odd one to contemplate. Ideally all damaging imagery would be banned equally, but if adverts and papers are allowed to show these images to get people to spend money then it's a bit rich to insist that people who are actually experiencing something shouldn't have a safe place even if it's not within the realm of what the majority would call healthy

As I understand it, there are sites that are support forums but that are strictly not pro-anna. So it's not encouraged but it is understood. If that makes sense? In a good way anyway. Bah! I can't remember how it was described to me. But it's a good thing anyway.
