Well, you should take it up with our fire brigade chap who told the minister off for saying it. Surley the fire brigade know their stuff on it better than anyone. And that was our fire brigade's opinion, that the minister was an idiot.
Yes, of course most careful, sensible paople shouldn't have a problem with it, but believe it or not, there will be some, possibly many, who are not used to storing it for other uses like mowers, and do not even know how their own car engine works, and possibly have forgotten of the highly combustible nature of this colourless liquid gas.
Whether they are stupid thick idiots or not, they should not all suddenly be encouraged via public announcement by their own govt to start stockpiling the stuff in their own homes, very many of which will not have a garage or even a shed to store it in. This poor unfortunate woman was decanting it in her kitchen, after all. The very least that idiotic minister should be is severly embarrassed by his foolish action. Especially when it was much more politically motivated scaremongering than genuine helpful public advice. It sums our dodgy govt up.
