Sacked? The mob calls for blood! And only a ritual sacrifice will sate their vengence

Okay then that'll do instead. :) I'll have a word with Janette, she might be able to fix something up on that front.

Data: Do you have a name, sir?
B-4: I am... B-4.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: B-4? Dr. Soongs penchant for whimsical names seems to have no end.

? Teary You okay there, Marc? Been working a bit hard lately have we? (I do worry about writers you know, ever since I saw Jack Nicholson play one in that film).

So, you want to throw petrol on the fire and see him carrying the can for this one?

;)

All good here. :) Twas a reference.

Oh glad to hear it. :) I was going to suggest if Zoo could pop in on you sometime and shine a bright torch down onto you, but I shan't bother now. Good good.

As Good As It Gets? I know Marc can be a little socially difficult but even so...

It's ok I am off the strong waters now! Just swimming in my little bowl of low strength ale! ;)

Believe it or not, I know what Marc P is going on about. Though B-4 would have been more fitting in a Star Wars analogy. Such as B4-RU?

Though, I would have been less subtle and gone for this -

A terrible poster from a few years ago.

Now what do you suppose is going on here ?

http://www.thisiskent.co.uk/arrested-woman-shot-leg/story-15667810-detail/story.html

Out on bail after arson and attempted murder? There's a clear pattern there and the cops will have a lot to answer for if the woman winds up dead.

Why on earth would they get bail?

The fire-burn woman is not typical of a "retardedly stupid population", she is the victim of an incompetent (and/or cynical) government who told her to do hazardous things without warning of the dangers.

Come on, any adult with half a brain knows that gasoline is dangerous and shouldn't be brought near sparks or flames. There are a lot of reasons to hate the government but this is really stretching it.

Quote: Alfred J Kipper @ March 31 2012, 11:34 AM BST

Potentially it's a dangerous hazard, it's certainly not good safe practice that our govt should be giving out, and during a heatwave! Most garages have an electricity supply with sockets and plugs and switches. These don't mix well with an unventilated small space full of petrol fumes and vapour. And if there was an inferno that rasied the house to the ground, I don't think the insurance co. would pay out, because the homeowner had invalided the policy by storing high flammables! The minister should be sacked for this disasterous advice giving!

Doesn't the average British garage have a can or two of gasoline for mowers and other gardening devices? It's definitely true in the U.S.

The average British garden is not large enough to require a petrol mower. Most gardening devices are electric.

I have a rechargeable electric mower but I'm a rarity.

That said, millions of Americans keep a few gallons of gasoline in their garages without burning down their houses.
