Not sure what either of you have to gain by continuing to insult each other. Why don't you just accept your mutual dislike and move on to other topics/threads?

The thing is, I don't think I've ever insulted anyone here over the last several years and thousands of posts. People have always been friendly and respectful around these parts but every now and then a new face pops up and their only intention seems to be to stir the pot. Typically, they wind up being banned after a few days or weeks and typically I haven't been on the receiving end of their insults so I haven't had much to say.

This person initiated the name calling and condescending yammering and directed it at me. Now he/she/it pops up every few posts and insults me and dismisses everything I say without any proof to the contrary. Rinse and repeat.

I'm not a confrontational or bullying type of individual, so if Stylee whatzit ceases with the childish remarks I'll have nothing more to respond to and all will go back to normal.

This person initiated the name calling..

Yeah right.

Listen Butty.. if you put yourself up on a pedestal and proclaim your "viewpoint", don't start crying to your mama when your opinions and "evidence" are questioned by someone else. It's called free speech.

Not much you're not.

A piece of advice: you've gotta learn how to lose before you can learn how to win.

I dig your webpage: Le cou rouge.

I think Stylee that you have to understand Dabutt lives half the world away. They have lots of different life styles and I disagree with a lot of what he says. However it is a bit pointless continually having a go.

Chappers.. don't make the mistake that he's representative of Texans/the US in general. I've got people living next door to me who express similar opinions.. and some former bandmates of mine are part of an extended Texan family.. and they've been cringeing at the guy's posts.

Well that's your viewpoint and you're entitled to it, just as I am to mine.. and he is to his..

.. but I don't think it's pointless. It won't change him, that's for sure, but I do hope that others will start to see through the sales schtick and do a bit of thinking for themselves..

..and "continually" is not the right adverb.. but that's just my opinion.

All the best.

There you go again, completely failing to speak to another person with civility. Mangling my name doesn't help the discourse, my pedestal is at floor height like everyone else's and nobody is crying to their mommy. Were you raised with any matters at all?

Not much you're not.

Not at all I'm not

A piece of advice: you've gotta learn how to lose before you can learn how to win.

Where do you come up with this stuff? Are we from the same planet?

Quote: Stylee TingTing @ March 30 2012, 9:45 PM BST

You're right, I'm far less conservative than most Texans. ;)

but I do hope that others will start to see through the sales schtick and do a bit of thinking for themselves..

Please explain what it is that you think I'm selling. I'll read it after I get back from drinking beer with the neighbors.

yo DaButt just watchin American Pickers pickin through Texas.

Yehahh!

I want to go....Think I just scrape in as been young enough to say I grew up with it. Perhaps I should befriend a teenager just in case.

Here's something you may not realise about dumb f**kers, we allow them to whiz around our roads in two tonne metal boxes travelling at 70 MPH.

And your point is? Just as you wouldn't want them starting fires next your house, so you wouldn't want them driving their car into yours. In either case, if they lack the ability to responsibly handle petrol or cars, you don't want to encourage them to do so.

The fire-burn woman is not typical of a "retardedly stupid population", she is the victim of an incompetent (and/or cynical) government who told her to do hazardous things without warning of the dangers.

Maybe I'd agree she was 'retardedly stupid' is if she had been repeatedly warned of the life-threatening dangers, but then carried on doing it regardless.

Like smokers do, every time they light up.

Ba-what?!

Topping up your tank and keeping a couple of jerry cans in the garage isn't a hazardous thing to do. Throwing petrol around your kitchen with the gas cooker full on is a hazardous thing to do and wasn't in the official instructions.

Most people who go to hospital with bad burns during the BBQ season because they throw petrol on the coals is testament to our 'retardedly stupid population'.

You want irresponsible Government instructions - encouraging people to ride bicycles in the middle of London for health reasons.

Potentially it's a dangerous hazard, it's certainly not good safe practice that our govt should be giving out, and during a heatwave! Most garages have an electricity supply with sockets and plugs and switches. These don't mix well with an unventilated small space full of petrol fumes and vapour. And if there was an inferno that rasied the house to the ground, I don't think the insurance co. would pay out, because the homeowner had invalided the policy by storing high flammables! The minister should be sacked for this disasterous advice giving!

1: "Keeping a couple of jerry cans in the garage isn't a hazardous thing to do"

2: "Most people who go to hospital with bad burns during the BBQ season because
they throw petrol on the coals"

Two more classic 'facts' from the book of 'How to support your own arguments.
Nice work.

"I know a person/people..." is still my favourite though.

Sacked? The mob calls for blood! And only a ritual sacrifice will sate their vengence - because telling people to top up on petrol is a crime worse then mass murder. Chillax bro.

I know someone who has terrible difficulty contributing anything of note to the BCG forums. Sadly, that is a fact.

Oh thanks, you just reminded me of my other favourites... Ending with the word 'fact' or starting with 'Actually'. Like that, somehow, makes it so.
