Just realised that Mark Gatiss is in this as well.
Never noticed before.

That's amazing, I'd watch a US remake every week if was like that.

John Leguizamo being cast as Del Boy is interesting.... he's been due for a bigger role than Benny Blanco from the Bronx.

I think the fact it's being made at all is great news, and very interesting to see how this much loved British sitcom will go down in the States. Things in its favour are timing for one, with the recession hitting hard over there, it could be a good backdrop for their stories. The lead actor looks about right for Del Boy too. And don't ABC have a good record with British covers?

Yeah I'm quite optimistic for it, if they can make it as funny as our one, certainly I think it has the characters to pull a fanbase in, as it did here. I think if nothing else you'll get a fair few viewers from Britain alone wanting to see how it plays. Wonder if they'll keep the names the same? Hope they do. Looking forward to viewing this when it runs, as the Beeb's unusually clever afternoon rerun has reminded me how blimming good it was.

More or less

Uncle Albie

Uncle Albie

He wouldn't be in it straight away, would he?

Wendi McLendon-Covey, the blonde from Reno 911!, has been cast as Ruby... Del's ex-wife. In a way this new character is good news as I was afraid they'd put Raquel or Cassandra in early. You can't make an American network sitcom without a female lead.

With Christopher Loyd as grandad the major questions are will we ever get to see it and will they stick with OFaH as the title?

A reliable source informs me the show will be called Scrimshankers - a term for those who avoid work.

I like this game, can we do Dad's Army next?

Oh, wait. That's just The Expendables.
