I just saw the advert for the pilot of this show. (It'll be on ITV on the 14th after The Brits.) It actually looks pretty good.
Who knew Russell Brand could act?
And Reece Shearsmith and Morwenna Banks are always great.
Why do they just shoot a pilot? Are they just going to decide on whether a whole series gets made on the reaction from the public?
I thought with all the high profile names e.g. Brand, Banks, Omid Dahjili and other good talents Rasmus Hardiker, Miranda Hart i thought it would have been picked up straight away.
Perhaps ITV don't want to take a chance until they see an audience reaction but i really hope this good. Morwenna Banks seems to be very good at everything she does.
p.s. Russell Brand was actually in Blessed, not that Blessed was any good.

I'm really hoping this is good, I want it to be, I mean with that cast and Morwenna Banks writing it how can it possibly be bad. But it is on ITV and ITV have not had the best of luck with sitcoms over the last few years.

Ditto. The ad looks good, and I'm really hoping that the show itself is, but I won't hold my breath (I seem to be saying that a lot recently - sigh). Still, looked like it had a 'Complete Guide to Parenting' feel about it from the ads, which can't be a bad thing in my book.

Anybody watch? it made me chuckle. I thought Brand and Hardiker were on good form. Script was all right. Some of it was hard to watch it, but I guess if they did a series I would probably watch.
Yeah, I thought it was alright. Not brilliant, but there's some promise there. And I quite liked Brand, which I was surprised by. Some very flat moments that just made you go "eh?", but on the whole yeah, a good start. Looking forward to next week's episode.

Was it? I just saw a couple of trailers (don't normally watch such channels) beforehand, and no mention of a pilot. Ah well, I'll be interested to see if it gets commissioned then.

Russell really was the best thing in it. (Aside from Reece Shearsmith.)
It was pretty poor, but yeah Russell was the best thing in it, that may be slightly bias as I am a big Brand fan, but he had the best lines.
