Laughing out loud

Currently listening to Loreena McKennitt who is one of those weird musicians that you either love or who makes you want to fill your ears with cement! Got tickets to see her next month and have no idea who to take along!

Harridan? I was just (trying) to muck about. You can like what you like. Who is anyone else to say what you should like or what you shouldn't?

:)

I've said this about 10 times already on here, over the last few years, but you've got to search for the good stuff, because for some reason it isn'tallowed on the radio or MTV

You might appreciate this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7r0KpWMNxnM It's written from the perspective of the second MC's father, who fought in Vietnam. He was exposed to Agent Orange, which caused two of his kids (the second MC's siblings) to be born handicapped.

"Inner Speaker" by Tame Impala. Fricking brilliant.

IMO: Okay.. I empathise wholeheartedly with the sentiment, but for me, as I said before, "The Message" says it all.. and as far as the Vietnam thang goes, Billy Joel hit home in a stronger way.

Hip-Hop vocals remind me of Yngwie Malmsteen's guitar playing: too many words/notes. It's the holes that you leave, not the spaces that you fill up.

If they stripped out most of the rap and just spoke the essentials, it would be more effective imo.
