I don't know about anyone else but I get really intrigued when I see the phrase "This post is off topic" and the text is faded out.
I have to read them all to see how bad the comments are, especially when it gets bitchy and some people really haven't got a sense of humour on a comedy site.
Also I know there is a General General Thread already where these things can be discussed but maybe we could transfer specific TPIOTs and discuss them here. (Or maybe not.)
I always have to read them too! I always want to see the naughtiness!
What's the point of fading out the text then?... other than to make it seem more fascinating to people.

Because this site is not solely for the entertainment of the regular posters on the forums. Non-members visit this site, including the forums, to view information and opinions on specific shows and performers. Fading out the irrelevant crap means visitors are spared having to read it. It also makes show-specific threads more relevant and encourages posters to stay on topic.

I think it's a good policy, because it's so easy to derail a thread, but I still like reading the arguments!
