This sounded potentially awesome, I can't believe this never got made, when shite like Coming of Age and Two Pints get commissioned all too readily...
Stewart Lee's idea for a Thor sitcom

One person's shit is another person's Fawlty Towers.
Of course this didn't get commissioned. It actually sounds creative.
OUTRAGEOUS. What a fab idea.

You'll notice I said it SOUNDS creative. Not it was going to be the-best-thing-ever-in-the-history-of-the-entire-human-race.

Nah you loved it a lot and were suicidal when they threw it out
The question I ask myself is 'Would I like to see a Stewart Lee sitcom about a strapping Scandinavian lad with a magic hammer?'
The answer is Yes!

Obviously.
Couldn't Thor star in a moody Nordic cop drama-A f**k load of Frost

It doesn't sound like there's much mileage in it. How many good Norse God jokes can you think of ? I suppose it will be on on Thursdays.
Marvel reckon they own Thor so they'd be all over it if they produced this show. Much like how Disney think they own every fairytale ever written then bastardise the hell out of it.
Sounds like a 'My Hero' rip off. Still, you could have had a character with a lisp who was always following the Norse God around with some ointment.
