The best suggestion so far has been Grimlock. Which is not a bad idea although he already has a well defined character. I also have one of the obscure ThunderCat villains in mind which could be fun.

And then this guy would be easy to model in 3D.

Ah I never had one as a kid. This and the Ewok village were the toys I always wanted but never had. Fortunately I now have a grown-up's wage and my parents no longer care if I blow it all on toys
