I was thinking about that the other day.
Tony Robinson also did Tales From Fat Tulip's Garden in a similar style. Not many people remember that one either.

Vikki the Viking! An obscure kids TV show about Vikings. Could possibly have been a Nordic public information film about the dangers of scurvy.

Did you see that Wheels died five years ago and no one (apart from the police) knew about it until this month? http://tv.yahoo.com/news/degrassi-actor-neil-hope-died-5-years-ago-212328911.html
Before he was Wheels, he was Griff in The Kids of Degrassi St, a series that I watched in its entirety over a couple of days two years ago. It remains wonderful viewing.
Top Wasp. No one else seems to remember the first season of Hana Barbera's Top Cat, before he was retooled as a feline. Apparently the original incarnation tested badly with viewers, who complained about the incessant buzzing and, in particular, the episode where the lead character murdered Officer Dibble by injecting him with venom. Most of all people were just confused by the fact that all Top Wasp's friends were cats. Surely someone else must remember this?

Well that's bloody depressing.

Reminds me of a musical pilot that was made in America during the 80s. Marvel hired Jim Henson to make a show called "It's not easy being green". Kermit the Frog and The Hulk would roam around trying to find the meaning to life. Sometimes The Hulk would sing like Barry White and Kermit would rip people apart with his bare hands. The worst part was a scene where they caught gonorrhea from a dead moose......Miss Piggy went batshit crazy!
It never got picked up for a full series. They made Baywatch instead

I remember the BBC changing the name to Boss Wasp when they broadcast it because there was a brand of wasp food called Top Wasp.

And one for you too
Forgive me for not reading the whole thread, it has probably already been mentioned but Into the Labyrinth was a fave of mine when I was young. Wonderfully atmospheric music that you do not get nowadays.
Think it has dated a lot now though:

Shoe People creeped me out a bit though.
