Are you blubbing then?

With rage!

Wolves would love to be 4-0 down against AC Milan with the second leg to come . . .

:(

Aaarrgghhhh!!!! Wenger! What the hell is wrong with you?! Your team selection and tactics tonight was diabolical. How could you leave Oxlade-Chamberlain on the bench until the 70th minute?!

How could you let Ramsey cover the pitch all night in his own personal brand of football shit? Why were all of our midfielders told not to kick the ball forward to the strikers? Where was the passion, pace and pressure?!

Bah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But his team selection can only be as good as his squad selection, and it's poor at the mo, a handful of talented but whispy young tyros, a good maverick who can't settle in and a world class striker who will be chased by every top club in the summer. They badly need some muscle and graft.

Will Wenger survive another trophyless season? Will ANY gooners finally have the balls to call for his sacking and boo him like any normal fans would a constantly failing manager? Arsenal were indeed appallingly weak and muddled tonight.

Arsenal fans owe a deep gratitude to Wenger, not just for trophies. He totally transformed a workmanlike English club and made them a household name throughout the footballing world.

He pretty much paid for our new stadium, bought and nurtured some of the best young talent on the planet and qualified Arsenal for the Champions League 11 years in a row. Considering we have the same size budget and fan base as teams like Newcastle and Everton, we've punched way about our weight with Wenger as manager.

The elephant in the room is that if you kick out Wenger, who do you replace him with?

And why are all your criticisms about offensive play when you have lost 4-0? Isn't it more accurate that the defence weren't up to the job? And that Milan were simply better? And if you want to pick holes in Wenger's tactics, why not ask what Rosicky does nowadays, other than model black gloves? And why is Wenger always to blame, not the team? And what will Newcastle and Everton fans have to say about them having the same budget as Arsenal?

Our defence is non-existent but when you're banging in goals at the other end, it doesn't really matter. Arsenal are at their best when they use the tired maxim - 'the best defence is a good offence'.

If we were the ones scoring two goals at the beginning of the game instead of Milan, tonight would have been a totally different story and that is why I'm questioning Wenger's tactics.

Same thing happened last year against Barcelona. When we went forward at The Emirates and played positive attacking football we won, but when we went to the Neu Camp, Wenger tried to shut up shop just like he did tonight. And what do you know, the opposition got 4 goals past us each time.

Once Oxlade-Chamerberlain was on the pitch and running forward making threats, the Italians changed their entire formation and tactics. If he'd been on from the start, this game would have ended 2-2 and we'd have valuable away goals for the second leg.

Once Oxlade-Chamerberlain was on the pitch and running forward making threats, the Italians were 3-0 up and changed their entire formation and tactics, but still looked more likely to score.

It's not often I "Sootyj", but face the facts. I'm sad Arsenal got stuffed, but the facts are they aren't the side they were and no tactical changes are going to hide that. But they aren't alone, the English Premier League is in decline in terms of quality. That's why it's so competetive and entertaining.

I'm not a gooner, but I watch.

IMO:

I've noticed something different these days about Wenger: he used to be experimental, but now he seems dogmatic. He usually plays a 4-3-3 stylee (media/peer pressure?) and he also has a penchant for buying natural central strikers (Rosicky, Arshavin, Walcott, O-C) and sticking them anywhere but up front in the middle, because RvP nominally has that job... and RvP doesn't "run the line" very well.. he's all over the place, like a schoolboy in a playground kickabout.. like Wayne Rooney.

Arshavin is the greatest travesty, who has been wasted in what should have been his peak years, by being played out of position. If I were him, I'd be hacked-off bigtime.

Wenger should mix it up a bit, keep 'em guessing. They're just too predictable..

..but they're still a top team. My team should be so "un"lucky.

Rangers applying to go into administration.

They're such a massive club. What went wrong? And who will be next?

It was a combination of stuff under the David Murray Regime. Not least his objectionable habit of milking the clubs profits into his (and his cronies) own pockets while ruthlessly censoring any questions at the agm's then buying up enough shares to dispense with the need for answering any questions in the first place.

The irony is Murray was gladly accepted by the Rangers Supporters as the only realistic alternative to Robert Maxwell who was also showing interest in buying the club.

The bluenoses were so terrified of the well known asset-stripping ego maniac taking over their club that they originaly accepted an unknown bully of the same ilk without question.

Portsmouth were next, but over a pittance compared to what Rangers owed. If Rangers were a non football business, they'd be wound up and their grounds turnd into flats. Weird football convention says they'll remain as a football club, seemingly forever. Same as Pompey.

Yes, with Rooney out for the first two matches, you want to pair Crouch with whom exactly?

I'd take Crouch, a player with 20 odd goals for England from 40 odd caps! Capello was just an idiot.

Add Sturridge, Defoe and Rooney for your forward line.

Parker goes, who is Watson? Young, Johnson, Lennon, Wilshire/Rodwell, Walcott, Milner and the two ards. No Barry.

Terry goes. No Rio. Lescott, Cahill, Jagielka, Cole, Walker, Richards.
And Harry as boss.

Crouch isn't a very good player, but he's a very good goalscorer. Hence - he's gotta be worth a place.

I'd take Rooney, Defoe, Sturridge, Crouch & possibly Welbeck.

My team for the first two games (without Rooney):

Hart; Cole, Lescott, Rio, Richards; Parker, Lampard, Gerrard; Sturridge & Young behind Welbeck.

(PS - Gerrard as skipper)

who is Watson?

I was wondering the same thing.

That's what Fabio said..
