Versailles. Brilliant. Costumes and sets incomparable. Convinced I have French blood somewhere which would be why I'd like to line our present lot up against a wall and shoot them. Vive la guillotine!
I've just seen... Page 256
The Return of Martin Guerre. Very good, although it is weird getting your head around a young sexually attractive Gerard Depardu.
'The Change Up' with Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds is the funniest film I've seen in ages.
I was told this yesterday actually - popped it on my lovefilm list.
I saw Man On Wire for the first time yesterday. Thought it was a great film.
Avatar- great clip, thanks Bob.
I have a new boxed set of Classic Movies, how can I watch these videos, old player bust?
Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Shallow, gimmicky, overlong and terrible dull linear plotting. No wonder it died on its arse at the box office.

I keep wondering if I should see it. Not sure.
Read the comics first if you haven't!

You should, it's brilliant fun.
I've just seen an email telling me I am going to be a world book night book giver and will have 25 copies of Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman to give away.
*Does a little dance*
Ooh, nice one! I keep meaning to apply for that.

Mark Steel's Vive la Revolution book is very very good, if you're not sick of seeing/reading about it, what with your secret cunning plot

That sounds terribly exciting, more info please!
It's basically an event in April to promote reading. Thousands or free books are given away to people to encourage them to read more and discuss books. I have to collect the books from Waterstones and give them out to people I feel could benefit from them.
I avoided applying the first year as I for some reason assumed it must be some horrific thing like an Anne Summers party where you'd have to invite 25 random strangers to your house and hand out the books.
But then I realised you could give them out however you wanted. I must remember to try and do it next year.
Vaguely heard of it, someone please alert me next time, that sounds brilliant. I have Good Omens but am avoiding reading it so I always have it to look forward to
