Sorry, Dellas, I didn't mean to dismiss your idea - nothing wrong with serious discussions, but I'm not sure that making it women only will keep it serious. I think that it's more likely to encourage people who are excluded to disrupt it. You're unlikely to keep it joke-free without moderators on side to help unless seriousness is the culture of the forum (which it patently isn't).
Perhaps, rather than subscribing to some ridiculous - and, frankly, sexist - idea that only women are willing or capable of being serious, if anyone wishes to open a frank discussion, they state in the thread's opening post that they'd like only sensible, serious replies?
And that when those inevitable few comical comments are made in such threads, people use their mature analytical skills to ignore them rather than get grossly offended or tied up in trying to respond?
We have discussed some pretty meaty issues on this message board before, and we're perfectly capable of doing so again if people stop being so wilfully divisive and contrary.
Quote: Alfred J Kipper @ February 14 2012, 8:32 AM GMTAnd as you should have your own catchy title like the others, may I suggest, before I quickly take my maleness away from here, 'FLAPS' (females left alone pontificating seriously).
Or could title it; The Quim Is Mightier Than The Quill?
Unless a site itself is dedicated to one sex "issues" it's maybe best not to try and create any cliques within as surely it's the combining of all our differences that builds our character just as much as whatever we might have in common?
But I don't mind the occassional threads dedicated to wummins concerns, it might help clear up confusing messages they sometimes send out such as; "All men are bar stewards".
OK all digested and understood, thanks for all really interesting comments, it does appear that the idea is not a good one,and not widely accepted.
What has been refreshing is that posters do not want any thread that will divide the sexes, even if that idea seemed beneficial to some users.
There has been a sudden 'flurry' of 'wimmin' only new threads, so the idea does seem a very popular one.
Oh dear.

Exactly the kind of idiotic statement I'd expect to come from a southern ponce.

Great resignation letter Kev !
I came to this page expecting to get some views of women and so far I haven't seen so much as a lone tit. Disappointing.
ooh you've turned mean bussell
I don't mind a women's thread but I have rules.
Can we talk about our innards as well as men's outards?
I only have women friends for this purpose really. To talk about the disgusting things you don't want to share with a fella.
Don't get me wrong, I love a girlie chat on occasions about makeup and shit but it is rare.
There is nothing more fulfilling to me than sitting in Costa Coffee and discussing discharge and flappy vaginal problems. I need to be assured that my stuff is normal stuff. On the rare occasion it is discovered that I am not normal, I need reassurance that I am still a fellow human being that just excretes green shit.
So for this purpose I would love a woman's thread but not if you're going to try and ban me like Costa Coffee!
I can do serious talk but I need a bit of filth thrown in. A bit like giving a dog a bone. Just the occasional snippet to keep me quiet?
X
A cup of your green discharge would be preferable to most stuff sold at Costas
I think you'll find the vaginal discharge thread over here:
