I have been perusing around the site for a few days now so I thought it was about time that I emerged from the shadows and said hi..

My name is Laura, I have been a huge comedy fan for many years (partly due to growing up with the Edinburgh festival on my doorstep) and have more recently started to think about trying my hand at a bit of stand up....Slight set back though as I have not quite managed to overcome the fear of getting up on a stage yet...

I am in the same boat as you. I lived in Edinburgh for over ten years and I am about to move back. Maybe we could start our "Comedy Adventure" together or even read each others writing for feedback? I was thinking of making a documentary about my attempts at stand-up....maybe you would be interested in being involved?
I have a few contacts in the Festival scene and know a few comedians so I might be able to help you if you are any good.
I also have a girlfriend so please don't think this post has a dodgy subtext! We could meet in a public place and bring along some friends (I would like to do this just in case you are a nutter!?)

Bob Hicks - When will you be moving back to Edinburgh? A comedy adventure could be fun. I'm pretty sure I'm not a nutter, been called many things but not a nutter yet
I will be back in Edinburgh in March. I'll let you know when I am a wee bit settled. If we both try to work on some material in the meantime we will have something to discuss when we meet up
