Food for thought.

I'm quite taken with the different interpretations of the ending, particularly the one Slag A proposed. Like I say, I could insert a bit of parting dialogue to make it clear that he's finishing off the job but I'm worried that might be over egging the pudding. I'm left wondering if it's a good thing or not to end on an ambiguous punchline as I don't believe I've produced one before. A ponderer for sure.

James, I don't think you're being pedantic at all, I think you're making a very valid point and I appreciate it. Same goes for Bushbaby.

Likewise Jacparov - I agree that some of my sketches are aimed at a pretty narrow demographic. Tight Dub and Hello Ken in particular. I'm hoping this one works whether you know Scatman John or not though. In any case, the next ones on my slate are reference free.

And thanks everyone else for your compliments, comments and suggestions.

David leave it exactly like it is. Its rare that you can construct a sketch that can be taken to have different meanings, all of which are funny

When the Sketch Project gets underway again, I think we have a quickie sketch all ready to go.

The idea was that he thought he was dead but only wounded him. Did anyone else not get this? You can be honest. If you didn't get that it wouldn't be a problem for me to go back and alter the edit to make it clearer.

When you come back from wounding him, you should have blood all over your shirt and hands. Or your knuckles at least..

I do wipe blood across my forehead with the back of my hand.

Re: dead / not dead - I thought the lead role was bluffing it to look 'cool' to his future offspring.

My interpretation was exactly the same... When the other character spoke, it made me laugh - cause he'd not killed him and got shown up on camera.

Nice one David! :) 5 stars

I like this Mr Bussell. It's not laugh out loud stuff, but its the sort of thing you watch with a stupid grin all the way through. Personally I think you're real talent is in the comic acting, and given the great idea in making a video for your unborn baby which imho has far more potential than ending it prematurely as you do currently.
Ditch the end and continue speaking to the kid. Explain your life. Explain his mother or whoever. Not to make the mistakes you have etc

It's not very visible. What is it, ketchup? Get same fake vampire blood from your local fancy dress shop. Pirate

Pig's blood. You're right, it doesn't look much like movie blood though.

Just found this and thought it was very funny. I love off-screen voices!

Yeah, I like this one too. One of your better ones, Bussell.

Also, all that giggling Gav was doing at the meet-up also makes sense now...

Dan

Did I miss a meet up?

Yep, https://www.comedy.co.uk/forums/thread/8030

Although it was technically a 4laughs meet-up.

Dan

Anything I can do to honour the late, great Scatman John.
