We used to vacation in northern Michigan and there was a nearby town named Gaylord. Everyone pronounced it Gay-lerd.
There's a webcam in Gaylord that I like to watch because it shows the temperature and depth of snow. Sometimes you'll see porcupines and deer and bears wandering around. (I just saw a squirrel.)
