Valentine's Day Page 17

Oh, oh, is it red?! Then it's sooo romantic, and men should definitely be pressured into spending loads of money for an entirely capitalist non-holiday so they don't get accused of cheapness or not loving someone enough, and women should definitely do the same because otherwise it's not equality and they're just gold-diggers if they don't contribute just as much to this dystopian corporate fantasy of human relationships. *Rushes nowhere to buy f**k all*

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

*Hides all gifts*

I doubt this guy will get anything...

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. xxx

Aw, shucks.

As an aside, I hope my wife doesn't see how much I've just spent on the ingredients for our meal tonight. It would have been cheaper just to buy a bloody restaurant.

This is the one day of the year where the Girlfriend and I agree not to be romantic or buy into this capitalist guilt tripping. Its a fair trade off because it means our tokens of love are more spontaneous and less forced. It also means we are doing our best to save this planet two cards at a time.

Down with the system! :)

No blowjobs for Bob tonight.

That's rather harsh of you.

Never, ever fall for that trap. Women love cards and gifts, even if they expressly tell you that they don't - they do.

Quickly run out and buy her a nice card and a cheap gift.

I get blowjobs every night.....I am too cheap to buy toothpaste!

Use that in standup, but switch it for your girlfriend being tight!

My girlfriend does get gifts, flowers, etc. Sometimes I write a poem or take her out for a meal. She knows I love her. Eight years and counting so I must be doing something right. Besides it was her idea to ignore Valentine's Day. We celebrate our anniversary every month, we call it "going for a Happy Meal", and no, that does not mean a trip to McDonalds because we are vegetarian.

In previous relationships I found Valentine's Day to be a pain in the neck. Restaurants too crowded and noisy, etc.

I was brought up with no father and my mum was determined not to raise "another male bastard". So I don't need Valentine's Day to provide guilt. I feel guilty all year round just for having a dick!

Yeah but not necessarily on Valentines Day! A man who does what he's told by advertising over what I expressly said, so that he doesn't waste his time and money, would not be looked on fondly

Lovey "We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love." - Dr. Seuss Lovey

Sooooooooooo true.
