There's an old African proverb, Dellas. 'The Wind Does Not Break a Tree That Bends'. You should learn from it and learn to bend a bit more.

Bender.

;) Yes then you get shafted from behind!

You'll never be totally safe from trolls on the internet dellas, all you can do is avoid getting drawn into discussion with them. As this is a comedy site, and most people think they're funny, you're not gonna get a 'joke' free thread. It's unavoidable.

Oh I don't know, have you seen some of the critque threads?

No but I've read the critique one's and they're universally excelent.

There is a difference between trolls 'spoiling' a thread and the expectations of an individual poster that a thread (on a comedy site) won't be littered with witty banter.

Real trolling around here is minimal.

Hastily edits original post to make Sootyj look a twat (then remembers that is Sootyj's job).

Well, if you think it is bad, can you advise where I, and other like minded women can talk without feeling that a creepy 'troll' will appear? I have had lots of PMs stating that this a problem that needs addressing .

Admittedlty I am only a lurker but perhaps we need to start a

'All in one consolidated Dellas talks serious subjects threads' as you don't really seem to enjoy the other threads as you constantly seem to be telling people.

Hey Dannyjb how are you doing? If there's one nice thing about this kerfuffle it's seeing more of your good self!

Keep it up guys and you will get sorted!

Hello, I'm dellas, and after much thought, decided to begin here!

Please feel free to express opinions, free of 'didactic' allusions to the 'perceived' expression of comedy.

I sincerely hope we can enjoy discussing interesting exchanges without the intervention of folk that find this a 'really strange' thread, and hence 'hijack it', with smut.

The guys can, of course, begin their own.

Just feels right that we should have a little bit of space?

Hope that you women will endorse that this will become a very valuable addition to the excellent BCG, :)

Great idea - in fact we beat you to it. https://www.comedy.co.uk/forums/thread/15038/

To be honest Dellas - this is a comedy forum where discussing something serious just won't happen. So don't be upset when this goes down the typical way threads always do... into people making jokes. Also, I am one of the hijackers of smut! ;)

So long as the women can post here and nowhere else, fine.

:D

Oh and here's my thoughts...

My view on women is that they are pretty annoying thus why I could never have a relationship with one, although I think in some ways it would be easier. We are normally over sensitive and like romantic drivvle and I do honestly wish I could not read into everything someone says in thinking that they hate me deep down, and I wish I could control my mood swings as they are ridiculously embarrassing like when I shouted at my boyfriend for turning off the radio in the car before I switched off the engine.

Anyway, I like discussing serious issues too... but not here. I know anything serious will be turned into a joke... but that's why I love this place.
