Awww. :(
RIP.

He played Paddy in 2point4 Children.

R.I.P :(

Good career longevity. His later films included Mean Machine, the Vinnie Jones remake of The Longest Yard, and one where he claimed a dead man's winning lottery ticket on behalf of his Irish village. And Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

And of course Robin's Nest.

Waking Ned?

RIP David.
A lovely comic actor.

R.I.P

Loved him in Mean Machine.

RIP. Surprised he lasted so long after the brolly-thrashing he had.

I remember, as a child, being amazed to find out he had two arms.

RIP

Oh no, really? Just saw this...seen him in loads of programmes on RTE growing up, he always reminded me of my dad. RIP.

Didn't hear or see this on the news.

Great character actor. Will be missed.

RIP - a fantastic and very funny actor.

An icon to cowboy builders everywhere.

He seems to have been around forever and it was always a delight to him on the screen.

Favourite roles I saw him in include playing one of Stalin's henchmen in the Red Monarch and as a hapless cringing bodyguard to the Shah of Iran in Whoops Apocalypse.

RIP and thanks Wobbly Ron.

I remember, as a child, being amazed to find out he had two arms up Tessa Wyatt's chuff whilst Robin cooked a beef bourgeon..

RIP

Quite.
