Apparently J-Lo's doing a tribute to Whitney Huston at the Grammy awards tonight. Hopefully she won't sing 'On the floor' as that's where they found her.
Whitney Houston dead Page 3

Not a great fan but always sad when someone with so much talent throws it all away.
I did like "Saving all my love for you" though.
Quote: zooo @ February 12 2012, 1:14 AM GMTYeah but she's not dead...
Had she actually done anything recently? She was massive in the '80s and '90s.
Dolly? She's still massive.
Sad that she started chasing grams rather than Grammys.

Well, parts of her are.
Is it wrong that my only thought was, shit they're going to be playing her shitty music all day.

I hope not, as that was my first thought too.

Not quite in the same league as Etta James - or even Amy Winehouse.
I didn't actually hear one Whitney song on the radio today.
I didn't listen to the radio either.
One legacy I can never forgive Whitney for is that all female singers since her have to elongate every single syllable on every single song to ridiculous levels.
That and karaoke nightmares involving drunk chav birds belting out I Will Always Love You.

Me neither, but I had Radio 6 on.

This, this, this !
Watching Whitney's Top 20 hits on one of the many music channels dedeicated to her.
She was so talented and beautiful, it was tragic seeing her decline. I'd have loved to have seen her make a come-back.
So was she influencial, unfortunatley she inspired many deluded X-factor wanna-be's to audition using one of her classics, none of which came close to her.
My favourtie Whitney tune: I'm your baby tonight.

Doesn't quite work when the truth is they found her in the bath.
