All over twitter, a lot of sources saying it is true and not a hoax.
Whitney Houston dead
It's true...it's been reported on the BBC
Only 48!
Dolly Parton's version was always miles better . . .

Yeah but she's not dead...
Had she actually done anything recently? She was massive in the '80s and '90s.
Last I heard of her was that she was an addict selling off her things and calling into radio stations to tell people to stop slagging her off. She did a few concerts recently and people were very critical of her waning talents. Seems like the cliched sad decline of a megastar.
Sad that she has a teenage daughter.
Sad news. Didn't realise she was so young

Dolly Parton's original version, wot she wrote
Very sad when someone dies so young.
It all went wrong for her when she met Bobby Brown.
R.I.P.
I was never a massive fan of her music but I did love her voice and this particular song:

So bloody sad and another wasted life! Why do we crave stardom?...

Dolly Parton's original! I know little of Whitney Houston, but at least she was around before frickin Autotune became the music industry's standard production tool.
Finally, Paul Gambaccini gets an excuse to be on TV again. Haven't heard a peep out of from him since Amy.

Whoever that is rwayne, RIP, but not sure what point you are making putting a private unknown individual on the Whitney Houston thread, if it's real that is?
RIP to Whitney Houston.
