Sesame Street,
Tom toms,
Tinkerbell make up,
Motormouth on Saturday mornings,

Punks (I was fascinated as a child by them),

My dog Bobby,
Narnia on a Sunday night,
Michael Jackson before we all knew...

90s

Fast-foward and Just seventeen magazines,
Penny sweets,
Spectacular nail polish,
Cosmetics to go,
Daria,
Grunge and riotgrrl bands,
Tamigotchis,
Not having to have a mobile phone,
Tab,
Many pets,
Top of the pops,
Summer holidays,
Gus Honeybun (Local TV personality)
Bubblegum cards (Those little bubble people on cards and gifts).

00s

A few loved ones,

Just Seventeen was the best mag everrrr!

DIARY OF A CRUSH! With Dylan and Edie!

I still have my free books. You can actually buy them as full books on Amazon if you look for Sarra Manning.

I think I got the Making Out books with that magazine. Zoe Passmore and her blind brother Ben. Awesome.

'80s
Smelly erasers.
Garbage Pail Kids stickers.

I used to get Bliss too but never Sugar because it was very girlie (Not like me now!).

I remember it was Sugar if you were very girlie and into glitter and cute stuff, Bliss if you a bit smarter and a bit glamorous, and Just Seventeen if you were quite alternative.

For the boys so they don't feel girlied out.

I liked Minx. But it didn't last for long.
Ooh and I got one called Girl when I was reeeally young. It even had photostories in it. They were awesome.

1550s
Public burnings, boilings and other ghastly executions in Hyde Park.
1950s
Sherbert dibdabs.

Pretty sure they still do dibdabs.

Things I miss:

The days when you could get four comic books for one pound.
My sex drive.
Bill Hicks.
Richard Pryor.
My ignorance!
Girls who found me sexy.
Bob Marley.
Being skinny.

I miss when you could buy a can of pop, a bag of crisps, and a bar of choc and get change from £1.

Another for 00s.

Woolworths.

I recall Minx. And B, 19, and Looks.

Oh and Mizz!

And Smash Hits of course.

I remember 'Girl'! Somewhere at the back of my mind I felt I shouldn't be reading it because it was very middle-class and I wasn't. Angry

Heh! I don't think I was aware of class back then. Wish I could find an old copy.

I miss the 1940s - you could leave your door open and not worry about being burgled. Mainly because you had nothing worth stealing and you went to the toilet outside.

You could also walk the streets at night without being mugged - as long as you didn't mind be killed by the odd Nazi Doodlebug.

Yes, watching my neighbours children being crushed to death in their own home during the Blitz brings back so many happy memories.

TB, rickets, ration books, racism, nuclear bombs going off - those really were the good old days.

You could just say "Spacehoppers".
