Is cyber stalking a real problem? Page 11

Thank you for that I did use the link (Oh yeah, I've got all the lingo)
The Norse mythology confused me for a while but I got there in the end.
So...'troll' = pretty much everybody who uses an internet forum.

I'm going out on a limb here but I think rwayne isn't quite as naive as he/she/it/thing as they make out they are. It's an opinion. It may be wrong. Though that's never happened before :P

Not at all. I've had a computer for about two years. This is the only internet forum I use. I sent my first e-mail about 18 months ago. Two weeks ago I was shown how to 'cut and paste' (Go me!)
That's the point really...I'm sure there are lots of people around that have grown up with it, it's never been part of my life (work or otherwise) and people
imagine someone who doesn't use it all the time is 'odd'. There are though lots
in the same boat as me and don't think they're missing anything.
I'll tell you a little secret (don't tell the others) I can remember a time
when, some people, were so excited about getting a telephone in their house
that they'd have their picture taken with it.

More successful using a camera.

Beat me. I was going to say it must be a modern cell phone then!

No I mean they would have... now hold on a minute!
You chaps are making sport with me.

To be fair it's not really a discussion is it?

'Is cyber stalking a real problem' is the title of the thread.

This thread seems to have wandered completely off topic now. Huh?

(Though I don't fully understand 'troll')

IMO the term 'troll' isn't always useful. There's plenty of non-trolls who can spoil a forum by simply being boring. On a comedy forum, anyone who gets in the way of the humour is acting as a negative influence, however well-meaning they are.
So in general, don't make a serious post unless you've put something funny in it. Like I've failed to do.

Did you hear about the light entertainer priest who was done for public indecency?

He was a Nickerless Parson

Hey that jokes great don't be so hard on yourself!

Surely I don't need to be a comedian to discuss comedy? Some of the best entertainment comes from public spats and meltdowns.

Discussing comedy doesn't get in the way of the humour.

OK, I'll try to provoke you: How is Australia like David Furnish? They both love to kiss their Queen's arse.

Why is Australia like Anne Widecombes fanny?
They're both nasty places downunder.
