WTF?????????????

That response means that you understand it as well as any international ref!
In reality it can be rendered much more simply and is a hell of a lot more straightforward than footie offside. Imagine a line running across the pitch from the back foot of the first player. The line is usually diagonal. If any of the opposition cross that, they're offside. Basically Scotland. All the time.

Jesus H Christ I nearly died on Sunday. What a bloody game. Wales' subs faired far better than I for one expected. Scotland failed to play like a team again and this is why they've still got white line fever. England were awful but won ugly. They'll take it with such a young side. France I don't think broke into a trot even at any point. Worrying.

WTF?????????????

Chappers I ref and don't understand all the rules as obviously even those doing internationals don't. I thought you stuck to the beautiful game. you know the one played by girls that role around on the floor every time they brake a nail?

OK, nearly there for the second weekend . . predictions?

I can't see Wales slipping up against Scotland (kneels, prays)

France v Ireland ? France scarcely broke sweat against Italy, so France.

Italy v England ? Could be my big :D of the weekend !If it was a battle of the anthems I know who my money would be on !

and why do they have so many penalties?

Well, many rugby people think they have too many. Australia have campaigned for years to have penalties reduced. The ways of getting penalties has simply increased. I do have some sympathy with them, they were the most attractive running rugby side for a long time until other sides, like England, simply developed huge meat heads and good goal kickers to exploit the penalty option, nearly killing the game in the process.

The game's rule makers have over complicated the game. The rules are written by lawyers, just like golf is, and they happily mess up the flow of the game just to be perfectly correct and punctilious. They haven't got the balance right at all.

Damn you, Sunshine!

what a load of rubbish. England should have been over the hills, all seven of them, and far away. What might have been if there hadn't been that charge down by Hodgson. The Italians just deflated from that point. Lancaster's team will be sorely shown up when they face real oposition.

Well at least England have got their matches against the top sides over with now.

Just Wales, Ireland and France to come !

"rubs hands together"

Oh, and what a FU in Paris tonight.

All that money on Stade de France and no under soil heating? Roof?

Remember that the Stade was built primarily for those delicate flowers who play the round ball game. It wouldn't even have been close tonight but admittedly not the ref's finest hour in calling it so close to KO. Of couse, the roof can be closed in Cardiff but the pitch never dries out properly.

Interesting ! Note the date . . .

Yes, last Wednesday, with the forecast even colder for this weekend. Don't you just love their blind arrogance. And the crowd booed and booed, which the French love to do, but I wonder how many of them have taken part in strikes at a minute's notice which cancelled thousands of people's holidays and business trips and services etc. They take le biscuite. I think it's harmed their chances of a grand slam, having to play tough opponents Ireland follwed quickly by Wales or England but really it's their fault for not putting in heating when tiny football clubs in England were.

England just make it look too hard, I think they'll struggle to get more than 3 wins, if that.
