I've just seen... Page 252

I love the Wrestler, it's kinda magnificent and the final scenes left me with a lump in my throat.

Mercy!

There was a line towards the end that went something along the lines of - 'I can't be hurt in here, it's only out there that I feel pain' - and it summed up his entire existence.

Great stuff.

I loved the way he kinda got these bizarre relationships so sharp even though they were so bizarre.

it's the line about him being alone because he deserves it, that kinda hits a nerve.

Deadgirl. Odd and disturbing horror film about two high school students who find a dead girl in the cellar of a deserted hospital. Ends up like a weird cross between Heathers and Vertigo.

The Shooting Party. A lesson in understated writing and a great cast. The ending whilst very calm is pretty jaw dropping.

Limitless.

Yeh pretty bland, and forgettable. I like the chap in it though he's a decent lead, with his massive cheese eating grin.

Just saw the trailer for the Emo-zing Spider-Man and it was covered in meh! sauce.

It looks like all the previous Spider-Man movies except with a different actor. I think Hollywood has just given up.

To be fair, there's not a lot of different things you can do with Spiderman. Although doing the origin story seems redundant to me.

Haven't they gone with a more skinny/nerdy superhero this time?
Instead of forcing the actor to turn into some weird Jodie Marsh type.

? The last Spiderman wasn't exactly Hulk Hogan.

Was that Tobey Maguire? He got very bulked up compared to his normal self.

I think you can do loads with a Spider-Man story, the canon is pretty huge. This time round they're going for the 'secret' of Spidey's parents.

Somehow, I don't think the 'secret' will be that his dad was a violent alcoholic serving time in jail and his mum gave him up for adoption because of her street prostitute lifestyle and overwhelming crack habit.

Yeah, but you couldn't tell unless he took his shirt off.

Calm down...

Well, the enemy canon is huge, but it's still going to be a skinny bloke in spandex swinging around New York spooging people from his wrists.

I thought he was a good Spiderman, and the relationship between him and Kirsten Dunst pretty sweet. And the upside-down-kiss-in-the-rain brought out the thirteen year old girl in me.
