BT Junkie (a torrent search engine for all you honest souls) is no more. RIP my old friend.

Fed up because I got back one essay out of the two I was meant to yesterday, and my grade was rubbish. Not what you want in third year. Hoping my other essay and exam got better grades because I worked so hard on them all. :(

Bah. Que sera and all that. Is it bad enough to bring your final grade down?

I dunno. My tutor says not, but I hope the other results aren't bad too, cos I'm not holding out much hope - as usual! It's just annoying cos I know some people write essays like, the day before and get better grades.

When do you expect to get the other grades back?

In my experience people who say they wrote an essay the day before and got good grades are usually trying to seem nonchalant and aren't telling the entire truth

I was meant to get them back already but the tutors haven't returned them. So, no idea. I've done so well so far, that's all. Don't want to have inadvertently mucked up now...

Well, if your tutor says not to panic, they probably have the best idea! Do you have any inkling as to why it wasn't as good a grade as you hoped?

There's only one criticism that I think was credible, and I don't think that it was enough to bring my grade down so much. I'm tempted to speak to the tutor but I just don't know. Sorry. :$

Don't apologise you big daftie! No harm in asking your tutor for further explanation 'with a view of improving yourself'

Yeahhh, but I have a tendency to cry...

*hugs!* Maybe write down the points you want to make and want answers to beforehand and ask for an allocated meeting rather trying to grab some time in passing, and then just read from the list. And write it in your best handwriting so if you start to cry your tutor can just read the rest :)

I will deeeefinitely cry. I'm upset cos I cried at her before when the other essay for her didn't go well and she was like "We'll come up with a good essay title for you" but now. Nope.

Hmm, then I suppose wait for the other results and if the grade has affected your final mark then you'll have to go in, crying and all, and if not then you've finished and never have to see her again, whoo!

There's nothing I can do if it has all gone wrong though. :( I HATE UNI.

Don't worry about essays/marks etc. Just put an "Oxbridge First" on your CV. They never check.
