Bleak Expectations on R4 Wednesday nights is excellent. As is Down The Line tonight. We seem to be having a purple patch in 6:30 comedy at the moment.

That sounds fanTAStic!
Alex James'll go on anything, but to see Damon and Liam on the Weakest Link, might just make my week.
Gary Numan - Sacrifice - The first of his ongoing Industrial period.
I LOVE THE NUMAN! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uu6MDdxBork&feature=related
Yippee, another fan. Love the link, will YouTube some more.
Numan was so far ahead of the game that he had to dumb it down, resulting in his mid-80s crunch. But Industrial as a genre is now paying its debt back to him. Manson and NIN both hail him as a source, as do the Smashing Pumpkins.
I would love to meet him. Today I shall mostly be listening to PURE, his mega opus.
I'm a Pumpkins fan too! Was obsessed in my teens. And I like bit of the Manson. I like what I like!
Pumpkins are too cool for the planet. Adore and Mellon Collie are awesome.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP6FW89HY8c - Pure - a 2001 single, live, Numan's voice is not the best but the live sound is powerful and dark; but most of the bands I like are not 'great' singers.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3mu5Ug9m8o - We are Glass - Electronic pomp rock camped up to the max.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiEE28D99-M - A great single from Pure, although the fan vid is a sequence of images
TWTTIN
'Industrial'... Sounds shite!

Boing! Crash! Wallop! Lol - you ain't lived 'til you've gone all industrial. It's dark and menacing. It's Trance morphing from Disney into Brothers Grimm. It's Goth without the uniform. But you're right, it won't be your cup-of-tea, Aaron.
The best Pumpkins song ever - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mq4zp-g2Jec - Perfect. It does exactly what it says on the label.
I liked that one where they painted an ice cream van in the desert.
Oh yes. I loved that one too.
James Iha was cool.
(That is his name, right?)
