The England squad looks pretty interesting now that a lot of the deadwood's been cut.

Yes agree. Looking forward to watching a young talented England team play without a robotic kicking machine slowing them up. I think they'll do akay.

I'm afraid I agree. Much the team who have failed to live up to their potential so far.

So, here we go then . . .

Predictions?

France win

Scotland win

Ireland win (although I'm a Welsh supporter)

:)

As in Malvinas ?

France, England Ireland

Six nations

France
Ireland
England
Wales
Scotland
Italy

I'm not sure if this is correct but I believe Wales have never finished second or third or last since the six nations started.

Well, that was a fun opening day.

Flashes of Gallic flair to see off Italy followed by what could well be the worst game I have seen in recent years.

:(

Wooh! That was a bit too bleedin' close for an old man !

:P

Cracking game OR. Wales deserved that - red card offence excepted. Huge improvement on the anglo-scots effort yesterday. Thought RTE gave man of the match to the wrong player. IMHO should have been North rather than Phillips. I'm actually feeling sorry for Robinson as he clearly doesn't know what to do with the Scots team to get them to score trys and to turn the mind set which says they always get beaten by England.
Not sure whether I'd back France or Wales for the title at the moment. Italy is never a good indicator and France are 'mercurial'. Ireland aren't going to win until Sexton finds his kicking boots and I'm not convinced that the new England side do have the necessary. But five more rounds to find out whether there is a new European order or plus ca change.

Indeed KLR, on balance, they did.

And, and this is sure to come back and bite my bum, I don't have too many fears over Scotland next week given that showing yesterday.

Then it's off to HQ again a winnable game I think especially if our injury list gets sorted.

Italy at home and then Les Bleus at home.

Who knows . . . . ?

Cool

Oh, and fair play to Gatland for saying on TV it was a red. Obvious to all really except the Touch Judge.

Yes, a great game which Wales edged, they were comfortably the better team, but Priestland had a very poor game and debutant Cuthbert gifted them a try. Just goes to show what a great coach they have. They made early changes that worked. Most pundits were saying Ireland would avenge them here and said the form of the 3 provinces, three Irish to one Welsh in Heineken Cup would tell. But Wales under Gatland are magical. Tip them for Champs, possibly even GS tho they're away to both England and France. That back line could sweep through any defence in the world. It's better than NZ's.

Home to France AJK ode pal.

Does anybody really understand the rules? The only one in football that causes confusion to some is the off-side rule. But what the hell is off-side in rugby and why do they have so many penalties?

Enjoy !
