What are you watching on TV? Page 1,575

There must be something going on - Holby, Casualty, Junior Doctors, Confessions of a Nurse, One Born Every Minute, House, Doctors (Marc P FTW!) and probably about a dozen others that I don't know the name of and they all seemed to be aimed at the ladyfolk.

The only one I did watch was Scrubs, but that was more for the funnies.

What is it that you (and by extension, your gender) find so intriguing about people in hospitals?

Lol, as I've said before, we don't have one hive mind. You'd have to ask each woman if she did like that stuff and if so, why.
There is not one answer.

I don't watch any of those other shows. Certainly none to do with babies. I don't like them and childbirth is terrifying and revolting to watch.

Hospitals frighten the shit out of me - always have done. They so often mean DEATH!

(I don't think House is aimed at women.)

Not much cop when you're doing it either, but the end result is worth it - eventually.

Ha, I suppose it must be or there would be no siblings!

If you don't have one hive mind, why is so much of this stuff on?

I know that women are much more obsessed with their health, go to the Doctor's loads, go to hospital more, fancy doctors, want to be nurses, have babies and just generally feel ill all the frikkin' time, but it just seems a bit weird.

I can tell you why I like science fiction or war movies or football, but the whole medical thing is a mystery.

I think you'll find it is.

Well I've never thought of House as a show aimed at women. Most of the people I know who watch it are men for a start.

None of that applies to me. You'll have to ask a real woman, evidently...

What? On here? No chance. ;)

I wouldn't know, I wasn't able to see that end at the time but I may have let out a yelp or two.....give me more feckin gas and air ...NOW.

I don't bother with any of the other hospital programmes, working in one is enough.

Watching a downloaded copy of Michael Palin's New Europe because I've always enjoyed the rest of his travelogs. It's nice to see, in living colour, all the tiny little countries that were only childhood memories of my grandfather's stamp collection until the 1990s.

Adore hospital documentaries, not drama.

Cow and Chicken

Has the expression "beaver gas"

that show is dirty.

Watching Confessions From The Underground - it's pretty shocking so far, but it's voiced by that nice Richard Wilson from the telly box, so I am remaining calm.

The actors are unusually good! I keep forgetting they're not real.
