Sam Rami's got a good track record.

Spider Man 3? I think not!

Without wanting to exacerbate what chip just said, me too.
Except I also love Dogma.

I haven't seen his latest 'serious' film yet though, Red State.

That's Wes Craven, I think.

Yep, my bad, another great horror director who became crap.

God that was a turd, I couldn't believe it when I was watching it, so very bad. I just wasn't expecting such a cack film from him.

No! No! No! (see Tarantino for explaination)

A real pleasurable pleasure! :D

I do enjoy a Michael Mann film - even the bad ones like Miami Vice are still very entertaining.

Me neither.

Indy 4 was a bit of a blip, but Spielberg isn't exactly shit, is he. He still pulls out a fun film every few years.

Not his fault, the studio meddled and made him add villains. He wanted to concentrate one. Plus he's also got the first two Spideys, The Evil Dead films, Darkman, A Simple Plan and Drag Me To Hell. Not bad.

Aside from Saving Private Ryan, his most recent work has been sentimental tosh aimed at the lowest common denomenator - Hook, Terminal, A.I., War Horse - but as you've said, we did get a few gems slipping through like Minority Report.

You know, David Cronenberg doesn't have too bad a record.

True. Drag Me To Hell was like the old Sam Rami and I mentioned A Simple Plan just the other day.

Steven Spielberg touched me when I was a kid.

Seriously though. I'll never forget how I felt watching Jurassic Park as a kid. Same goes for Close Encounters, Jaws and to a lesser degree Saving Private Ryan.

Not too fussed with his obsession with SCI-FI Tv series though. They're all a bit boring.

Definitely an acquired taste. Personally, I like the little Canadian perv, but I know plenty of people who couldn't sit through ten minutes of eXiztenz or however you spell it.

Hook

If you weren't a child after it's release you just wouldn't understand! :P

George Lucas raped me as an adult. :(

Never into Star Wars. I don't remember being into Indy much either, but my Mum tells me otherwise. Said I was obsessed? She's not here with me btw. We just had that convo the other day. But yeah, Indian Jones, last time I watched that (which was a good few years ago) I got bored quite quickly. Will give it another try one day though.

Dun dun dun duh DUH. Dun dun dun DUH!
