Quote: Renegade Carpark @ January 27 2012, 11:27 PM GMTHad a conversation with a fellow cinemaphile and we were trying to determine which directors had a pretty decent track record from beginning to end. Here was the very short list -
Alfred Hitchcock
Ridley Scott
Christopher NolanIf anyone else has any suggestions, then please feel free.
Hitchcock - yes. Scott's done his fair share of shit, but manages to pull a classic out of his hat every ten years or so. And Nolan, like Paul Thomas Anderson or Alexander Payne, is too young to judge yet. Chances are he'll get shit at some point. Scorcese's still pretty good, mind.
