What are you RETRO gaming at the moment?

I know we have a 'What are you gaming?' thread but does anyone here still play older video games? I'm talking pre-PS3/360. Are you playing any old games at the moment? Do you still own any old consoles or do you use emulators?

I have a few retro bits and pieces. My faves are my Sega Mega Drive with Mega CD (mk1) and my Nintendo NES. (I've also got a SNES, a Saturn and a Dreamcast but I don't get that much use out of them. I think I need some more games for those.) I'd love to get my hands on a 32X.

Last week I tried Ghouls and Ghosts for the first time. That is a tough game but I found it quite addictive.

I have an Amiga 1200 with a 32Gb flash hard drive fitted which would have blown my tiny 12 year old mind. It's like putting a V8 engine on a Penny Farthing.

Bloody hell! I'm impressed. :S Do you store games on it?

Occasionally play Snes games. Revisit A Link To The Past quite a lot.

Excellent Game!

Me and my brother started it before Christmas. We've done the first 3 dungeons so far, we need to carry it on. We've recently completed Zelda on the NES, we've also got to the last boss on Zelda II (hard isn't the word!).

I have a Spectrum ZX knocking about somewhere which I used to play The living daylights on. Also a SNES. Zelda, Super Metroid, and Mario brothers....ahhhh my youth....

:D My son sells excellent retro 'Mega-drive' gamez on e-bay, you name it, he has it, they are amazingly popular.

My favourites are; 'Lara Croft- 'Tomb Raider'

'Echo the Dolphin' and 'Shenmuie' also 'Super Mario'. :)

Lots of D@D stuff , my favourites.

Hi Dellas,

I'm actually in the process of re-buying my old Mega Drive collection along with some of the gems I never owned as a kid. I have a list as long as my arm. Would it be possible for you to give me the link to your son's eBay shop? If he has any games I want I'll happily favour him over other sellers if his prices are reasonable.

One game I want more than any other is 'Ghostbuster', preferable the UK version boxed with instructions. It was the first video game my dad ever bought for me and a kid from my school stole it years after. Could you ask him if he has it?
Here's the top end of my wish list...
* Ghostbusters (1990) [NA EU JP]
* Addams Family, The (1994)
* Splatterhouse 3 (1993) [NA JP]
* Gunstar Heroes (1993)
* Batman: The Video Game NA (1990) [NA EU JP]
* Twin Hawk (Daisenpuu JP) (1990) [EU JP]
* Revenge of Shinobi, The (The Super Shinobi JP) (1989) [VER 0]
* Altered Beast (1988)
* Spider-Man (1991)
* Golden Axe (1989)

Hope to hear from you soon. Take care. Ell x hug x

I nearly forgot about Mortal Kombat! I was awesome at that.

:OD Do you remember the film? It was great and terrible at the same time. The soundtrack was epic though.

Elliot I will check with him today, and let you know ASAP! :)

You're a star. *HUG* ;oD

I occasionally dip into the "text adventure" genre. Hard to come by new, good ones nowadays, but there is the occasional gem. One called "Anchorhead", about ten years old I think, is fantastic.

Oh, and "Blowjob Drifter" is amusing also.

I must ask him about those, interesting stuff!

Christopher Lambert's finest moment. He was unable to do the second film due to an urgent prostate exam. Smarmy

Apparently Cameron Diaz was meant to play Sonya but broke her leg at the last minute.
