We recently tried to create some comedy, but am not sure whether it's funny or not. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

It didn't hit the spot for me - it just seemed aimless and rather awkward. That's not to say you should give up, but maybe next time go out with an agenda of some sort. For inspiration, you could check out Chris Morris' on the street segments from The Day Today.
It was funny, as David said need some sort of structure. Some of the people were very funny. One way would be to ask everyone the same questions, would make some of the answers even funnier.

I didn't find it funny. Also I wouldn't go down the insulting friendly members of the public route as it can make you appear smug and unlikeable... which I'm sure you're not btw!
But otherwise it takes balls to attempt this so kudos for that, and don't give up of course.
