Laughing out loud

I do love this picture, though the little o's look like he's actually thinking of cock.

Apparently this is Fleet Street practice to find an embarrassing word behind a politician and was even a plot thread in 'The Thick Of It'.

.. Fleet Street practice to find an embarrassing word behind a politician ..

I wanted to post that classic William Hague one where he's speechifying with the word "country" on a banner behind him, his head blocking out the "o" and the "ry" cut off by those naughty newspaper people.. but I can't find it.

Anyone remember that one?

A real pink elephant.

A new EU ban on Iranian oil, a second U.S. aircraft carrier enters the region, an increasingly agitated Israel and threats by Iran to close the Strait of Hormuz if any of the above happen: things are going to be very touchy in the region for the next few months. A minor incident could turn into a major shooting war at any time but the Iranians are lucky that we're locked in an election cycle and I expect them to agree to talks which will likely turn out to be fruitless in the end. They're in it for the long game.

That's all a bit sweenyish; he could just have saved his mates the faff and hung until Theresa May needed a fresh undercoat.

One of my old Newsjack failures:

Harry Redknapp has been charged with tax evasion following a 26-month investigation. Mike Leigh is writing a movie script based on the tale, provisionally titled: "The Lying the Twitch and the Fraud Probe"

It's very good send it to NR!

Good thinking Sooty :)

I've shortened to:

I'm writing a movie script based on Harry Redknapp's trial for tax evasion. It's called "The Lying the Twitch and the Fraud Probe"

It's fired off, fingers crossed :)

Good luck Gerry, it's a cracker Laughing out loud

Good luck Gerry.

Try and throw something in about Harry being great at big money transfers.

Though I'll let sootyj come up with jokes about naming your bank account after your pets.

Why would Network Rail be interested?
