Miranda Hart popped up at the end in a trailer for next weeks episode, playing what looks to be a jolly hockeysticks student midwife...asked if she can ride a bike, she replies 'I can ride a horse, can't be much difference'

I'm watching this and wondering why it's live? Is this like Springwatch for astronomy nerds?

At least eminent scientist Dara O'Briain is doing a good job of looking at everyone with a quizzical scowl.

BBC types think a programme is more accessible if there is someone pretending to be stupid - you know, like a viewer.

If the BBC remade Civilization now Lord Clark would have Reginald D. Hunter stood next to him laughing at the honky with all the big words.
