Set List! Anyone Going?

This looks very cool indeed. If I was not stuck in Madrid with no money I would be there without a doupt:

Time Out says:

'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' for stand-up, in Paul Provenza's Set List comics get 30 seconds to look at a list of obscure topics and make up material about them there and then, on the spot. Some will conjure up a one-off, spectacular routine on a 'Genocide Note', others will struggle to think of something funny about 'Condom Cults'. Either way, it's one hell of a night out.

Anyone thinking of going? Jan 27, 28, 30 & 31 at Soho Theatre London.

I am gutted I can't go! Teary

....AND even more gutted to find out that Robin Williams was the surprise guest last night.

Set List is doing various shows around the UK and I am seriously thinking about booking a flight just so that I can catch one of these gigs...

In case you missed it, here's our interview with the founder of Set List... https://www.comedy.co.uk/live/circuit_training/paul_provenza_interview/

I had missed that, thanks Mark.

Its a very good interview. Paul Provenza is indeed one very cool comedy cat! I look forward to everything he does :)

Lets hope Showtime give the go ahead for a third season of The Green Room. Does anyone have a link or e-mail address so I can drum up support by telling Showtime to continue making this wonderful series?

I heartily recommend this as a night out - it feels like something that's going to blow up big, so get in on the ground floor for bragging rights.

All the performers did a great job - Rich Hall, Ian Stone, Richard Herring, Paul Foot and especially Rufus Hound, who I only knew previously from panel shows and had never been that enamoured with, but he really excelled here.

Last night tonight and it's sold out. :(

There are more shows being done around the UK so you could still catch this somewhere if you are quick.

I just knew this would be my cup of tea. It has that anarchic quality that I just love to see in live comedy.

You guys should check out "Spank! - You Love It!" - Its a great comedy showcase and needs to be seen to be believed:

They do shows in the basement bar of The Albany and at the Edinburgh Festival each year. I will never forget the time I saw a little person get T-Bagged on stage - the majority of the audience stood up to try and capture the moment with their camera-phones - it was bizarre and very funny. I have seen many Spank! shows and it has always been a fantastic night out.
