Writing Magazines

Was in supermarket and saw Writing Mag and bought it - thumbed through it and looks interesting. Tips on prose etc Does anyone buy magazines like this and are they a good source of info?

There is another one too.

I have read them both before and some useful tips. The only thig is when you're reading you can't be writing.

I get both the writing magazines. They can be pretty useful! Good features and good tips, and I always love those 'my writing day' type interviews with authors.

It's the first time I saw a writing mag. I was looking at the random subjects and thought why isn't there a writing mag and saw it. Tried it with why aren't the Saturdays my lovers but no luck

Whole shelf full of them at Sainsburys. I did wonder but then decided not. I might go and browse them in the library.

I get both Writers' Forum and Writing Magazine and highly recommend both of them. They are packed with up-to-date information about the market. I have learnt about all sorts of competitions through them, and calls for submissions. As another 'poster' says, they also contain some useful articles on various aspects of writing. Initially, I thought that they would be a waste of money but I couldn't have been more wrong!
