Then get what you pay for.

If you buy a burger for 50p you don't expect prime fillet.

Did you wake up on the self satisfied and bossy side of the bed today soots?

Nah Zooo just every now and then feel like challenging your self satisfied, small conservative world view.

*ducks for cover*

Lol, fair enough.
It's just nice that sooty knows all the postmen personally and can vouch for the fact there are no lazy ones. Good on him for having so many pals.

There's lazy ones, there's hard working ones there's all sorts. But when you actually read what they went on strike for last year.

There's a lot of maltreated ones.

You should keep upto date on these things. Because when the government sells the whole lot of for profit. Expect to pay a lot more for a lot less.

nb for all the fuss about Yodel one of their delivery guys came to my work with a misdirected package. And made a real effort to get it to the right set of offices on the site.

Isn't that his job?

Yeh but they get a bad rep for dumping and running. So I thought I'd big up the guy who went that extra yard.

One would almost think the service is being run into the ground so some greedy company can buy it up cheap.

It's a shame that Royal Mail can't get it's act together over Parcel Force, the whole 'everyone sends emails, no one sends letters' losing money argument is bullshit, everything is being bought and sold over the Internet. I would imagine that mail order has never been more popular.

I do believe that there are good posties and bad posties, you know, like ghosts.

Thing is every time they try and make a reasonable increase in postage costs. To reflect I dunno costs in the real world.

Then everyone throws a shitfit, the Daily Mail declare a Twatwah and the cost is kept to low.

Plus TNT, Yodel etc thanks to idiotic part tendering can grab all the really juicy bits RM can't. Didja know most TNT packages travel 80% of their journeys by Royal Mail.

Where I live they are currently trialing a 24 hour self service system. They have set up and area that includes self service checkouts, like the ones in supermarkets where you can buy stamps, pay bills etc. They also have lockers where you can arrange to pick up parcel anytime of the day or night it suits. Part of the reason is because online shopping is so popular.

Don't all printers do that.

No. What happened is when I sent a big print job to the printer I got a Printer Jammed message, or some such nonsense, and had to switch the printer off. But if I sent the document to the printer one page at a time there was no problem.

Ahh. The poor thing was overwhelmed, maybe it has confidence issues.

Theoretically when you do the sums you can be expected to run at a highish speed for 4 or 5 hours whilst carrying 40 pounds.

They don't have vehicles?
