What sort of car do you drive, Marc? I imagine you wearing your brown leather jacket and some aviator sunglasses and zooming around Norfolk in a vintage TR6.

Well I have both of those but not the TR6.. a peugeot 206 CC Allure, I know. Not supposed to be me driving it, but the top does come off with a push of a button!
This colour.
I am thinking of becoming a hairdresser.

Who are you, Jessica Fletcher? Get yourself a vintage car, mon!
Lol. Need some wedge first!
PROTIP: When you find yourself locked out of the house in the middle of a freezing night without a phone, don't take the fact that there's a hoe leaning nearby as a sign from God that you should smash the window.

I just scanned this. Something about smashing a leaning ho?

That'll larn ya to keep a key in a hidden place outside the house.
It's cheaper than a window.
Anyway what went wrong, other than getting freezing winds through the house after you burgled your own home.
Good job you didn't leave a Gatling gun set up to mow down intruders.

I was counting on the keypad of my garage door opener but it let me down. I guess the cold weather sapped the last of the battery.

Lots of cleanup (double glazing means double the mess) but my neighbor came over and helped. I called an "emergency repair service" but they said it could take 3-5 business days to replace it. Screw that, I'll take it somewhere and have it done much quicker and cheaper.

I was disappointed that none of the neighbors called the cops while I was smashing glass at midnight but I was also relieved that nobody shot me. The typical response would be a neighbor with a flashlight and a pistol or shotgun.

If even the indomitable brain of billwill can't do his self assessment, what hope is there for us mere mortals?

Oh, I can do it; it's just mighty tedious. I can't take more than a few hours at a time of peering at small print on a HMRC form.
More complicated as during this time 2010-2011 as I was closing my Ltd Company and transferring its small residual business to myself as a self employed person.

Took some time out from bureaucracy to fly a virtual Piper Cub from City Airport along the Thames using Flight Simulator X.

Now you can find an app to use it as a Garage Door opener.
I read that Microsoft will be giving away Flight Simulator for free in the near future. They'll make their money selling additional planes and features.
