Your all time, numero uno sitcom moment?

Things like the Dellboy-falling-through-the-bar incident keep winning this...

... but do you have your own personal favourite..?

Alan Partridge looking at Lynn and telling her he has just stepped on a spike and it has gone through his foot. The look on his face as he tells her this makes me piss myself.

In the same episode, when he is dry heaving in front of an audience but trying to carry on as normal, I fall to the floor and poop my pants, the laughter is so intense.

David Brent's yellow bird costume.

For me, it's when, later in the same episode, he's speaking at the corporate conference and says the line "It's a good paper" in absolute anguish.

So very, very hard to choose. There's the who-started-the-war scene in Fawlty Towers, and the mere thought of Sid finishing his song composition in Bless This House makes me laugh. And the "one for them, one for us" scene from Are You Being Served? (series four somewhere, I think). Plus about half of Blackadder, nevermind the stuff I can't remember right now.

So in conclusion, I've seen far too many sitcoms to choose.

If I think back to the times when I laughed the hardest, then the Partridge episode, in which he went back to that obsessed fan's house could be number one. My mum and dad had just had a new wooden floor fitted, in our front room, so me, my mum and my sister were all sitting on the floor, as there was no furniture in there. The emptiness, coupled with the wood, seemed to make my laughter much louder than it normally would be, so it really sticks in my memory. The moment that made me laugh most, was when Alan shouted, "You're a mentalist!" then, after having driven off, realised he was down a dead-end, and had to get out and leg it across the field.

Yayyy!!

I love that song.

For me it's got to be that scene in Jam and Jerusalem where the celebrity cast kick Jennifer Saunders to death for ending their careers. Hopefully that's one of the later episodes in series 2.

Hahahahahahahahha!!!

I have the same reaction to both these bits; my stomach actually hurts Im laughing so much at the dry heaving!

It's just so bloody rude and yet heroic!!

Basil Fawlty beating the car and LoG when they're all being asphyxiated for sexual pleasure and the guy/girl [can't remember] running it dies on the spot. They all have to shout out Juliet Bravo if they're in trouble. So you've got six sexual perverts nodding back and forth like Weebles in inflated leather/plastic pods slowly dying and shouting out Juliet Bravo. Genius!

Basil Fawlty beating the car.

Yep.

Haven't we done this before!?! Anyway I'll go with Aaron's FT The Germans but possibly surpassed by the OFAH Chandelier epidode.
