(Checks the washing machine again and finds submerged phone. Almost cries.)

I'll give it a day or two to dry out. I guess I'll be an iPhone 4S owner if it won't recover.
Starting to get a bit worried about our house situation now.
We have to move out of our current property by the end of Feb because the owner has decided to sell up. Unfortunately there hardly seems to be anything practical nearby as an alternative.
We don't want to leave the area as the kids are settled at the local schools and because Jo has a job across town which means she has to leave early, she can't drop them off and get into work on time. If I could drive it wouldn't matter being further away but as I can't (for medical reasons) it's bloody awkward.
They could cycle at a push but their route then becomes a choice of either along a busy road or down by the river which has been known to be frequented by nutters. They are only 9, 10 and 12 so neither of those appeal greatly.
Oh, and it's going to cost us around a grand just to get out of this predicament.
