I don't know about funny Shirley but there are a number of queer folk around here.
Welcome Wave

Hey :). What sort of comedy do you like?

Well will, I'm not predujiced so a big HELLO to all the queer folk here too ;)

Hi James. Will you shoot me if I say Funny Comedy? Yeah, I thought so... Teary But seriously :| like Gavin & Stacey - great characters, Shameless - original and outragious, Nighty Night, bits of Little Britain. These just a few off top of my head (I wish!!!).
Hate 'contrived' and wordy sitcoms where the characters spew out complicated and brilliantly witty speeches they would never in real life >_<.

No I won't :P though one thing I have found ironic is even though I'm welsh I have never seen Gavin and Stacey. I agree with you rather more realistic humour which is why I am more a fan of stand up as you know there's less editing and it's just pure comedy. Any favourite stand ups or are you more into sitcoms and sketch shows?

Hi there Wave

Hi James
Strangley enough, it takes a lot to make me laugh. There's not many stand ups that can do it. Not that I'm a miserable sod - and I think it's a lot to do with mood and company - and also I'm probably not as 'up' on my stand-ups as I should be - but it still takes a lot!
Some people are just naturally funny - I've only got to look at David Mitchell and I'm gone! Just hilarious - though he's more actor/writer. I like Alan Carr, Graham Norton, Paul O'Grady (ok, I admit it), Peter Kay, Jonny Vegas and a few more I can't think of the names at present.
Generally, I squirm at female stand-ups. Don't know why because they're just as witty and probably have more insight - which is great comedy material - but there's something highly embarrassing about women doing stand-up. The one exception that springs to mind is Victoria Wood.
But the biggest belly laughs for me are such as the Fonejacker - pure, unscripted piss-taking. Now that IS funny. :D

Hi Shandonbelle

Are there any other jobs where women's attempts at them make you squirm and feel embarrassed?

(Not taking the piss, just interested!)

Not really. I'm game for women to do whatever they want, except maybe bodybuilding, wrestling and shagging sheep with a dildo :D

Aw, but that's all the fun stuff.

Not sure the sheep would agree :D

Oh, I don't know.......
