The Bargain Thread!

THREAD ENDS MONDAY! NEW YEARS DAY! EASTER! THE END OF THE WORLD!

I don't know about you, but I like a good bargain. I hunt for ages on the internet to find the best prices and deals. Moneysavingexpert.com is porn.

Without spamming! Anyone care to suggest the best ways to save money, cheap websites, cash back, BOGOFs?

I have a browser add-on called InvisibleHand - http://www.getinvisiblehand.com/ - which scans other websites for better prices whilst you look at a product. It's not perfect but can be handy sometimes.

http://www.topcashback.co.uk/home - Lady Leevils uses this website with great success. It basically shares profits with you in a round about kind of way???

Personally I'm interested in gadgets like mp3 players, phones and general media equipment, so if anyone can recommend anything that would be great. But I'm hoping this thread can become a good source for all products like clothes, gifts, food, holidays, whatever!

:D

:) Great idea Leevil, will search and report back.

:O

Some people care not for bargains. It's not that they don't like them, it's more that they can't be arsed and are happy to pay full price. Weirdos.

I just discovered that Argos and Homebase sell basically the exact same lines. So if you check both, sometimes what you're buying might be cheaper in either one. (Or one might be doing a sale.)

I've been sales shopping online. I find it better than kicking Grannies out of the way in the shops.

Here is something most people don't know. Anyone who likes to use Lush, when you order online, click on the part that says "Notes to packer". You can actually request up to 4 free samples of anything except the bath bombs and perfumes. Just type in "Can I please have samples of...." and list what you want. Not many people know you can do this!

Another trick with online shopping is before you checkout, Google "(Company name) voucher codes" and you normally find a discount code or two to type in.

Yes, definitely do that! I was just ordering something now from H&M and remembered at the last second to check for a code, and got £5 off.

I've often wondered what you do when you're not online at the BCG. Wondering over!

And that's the most exciting of the things I do.

I have officially spent far too much so I have not really saved money! But I did get some awesome stuff.

Love a bargain too, can be seen trawling charity shops and when my local tip had a shop, it was a nice little outing for me, I once found a Sooty puppet there and sold it on eBay for a nice profit... :)

They never stretched to those luxuries at my tip but I'll keep my eyes peeled :)
