I genuinely want to know what funny sitcoms have been on over the last few months, because I hardly watch any TV nowadays. The stuff I do see is either on catch up or clips that I see online. Was Fresh Meat funnier than Life's Too Short? I didn't catch any of it. As for Rev., my comment was based purely on Series 1, because I haven't seen any of Series 2 yet. I think I only saw one episode of the last My Family series, but let's be honest, do we really have to watch that to know it's shit?

You named two right there. Rev has already been mentioned. Threesome and Spy were probably the best sitcoms on all year. Outnumbered was also fairly recent, and far superior to Life's Too Short.
Life's Too Short only has high production values, the script is as weak as piss.
That's why it reminds me of Whites - these shows are enjoyable to watch because they're excellently produced, but in conception and at a script level they're lame.

The episodes of Outnumbered that I've seen over the last few years were as dull as dishwater. Spy looked promising, but again, I missed it, as I did Threesome.

Also Pete Versus Life? Funnier than Life's Too Short? Does anyone else agree with this? I saw the last episode, and it was pretty poor, especially the bit where that girl believed Pete's mate was a real robot.
Sure. And more than just being funnier, unlike Life's Too Short it's also a successful comedy, in that it succeeds in what it's trying to be and do. If it's not to an individual's taste, that's one thing, but it does exactly what it attempts to.
One show that I will put above Life's Too Short is The Big Bang Theory. That's just brilliant.

Fresh Meat is variable but has some very funny bits and is worth checking out. I thought it had real promise but some of the episodes and storylines didn't really work.
I thought the latest series of Outnumbered was fairly poor.
Series 2 or Rev is ok, sort of. I didn't watch series 1.
However, anything is funnier than Life's Too Short, which is awful. I've never forced myself to watch a comedy before, but I have with this, purely because I can hardly believe its so poor and want to see if it has any funny bits at all. I think I've had two or three minor laughs.
