I love them all equally

When I see all those DVD(set)s standing on the shelf, I'm starting to feel somewhat uneasy. Problem with me is that I'm a completist; so one of two series of a sitcom won't do for me, I need to have the whole package, from the first to the last episode. >_<

The only additions I might make someday are:
- Last of the Summer Wine (if they ever put out a complete series box set - which is probably pretty unlikely)
- Hi-De-Hi (complete, of course)

I have no 'noughties' sitcoms in my collection. The production and the image quality have changed since the eighties/nineties which - suprisingly maybe - takes something away from the viewing experiece for me. It might sound strange, but the 'clearer' images of the sitcoms since, say, 1998 have taken away the 'cosy' quality of it for me. Don't know if this makes any sense, maybe it's all down to nostalgia.

I've wondered about Cuffy. There's another Bernad Cribbins sitcom called Langley Bottom .. not on DVD as far as I know. Do you know if it a successor to Shillingbury Tales or Cuffy? It was set in a village and I seem to remember that Bernard Cribbins played a handyman. Just saw a few episodes many years ago.

No, it's unrelated. I didn't mention the hundreds further discs of recordings, on which Langley Bottom is included. Not had time to watch it though. Maybe this year...
