Thanks for the advice, I'll remember that next time it happens.

Strangely, I can't seem to get (or get to, perhaps) any on the TV's built-in 'Freeview' channels now via the 'digital' input; not that I need them, I watch TV through the Virgin box or via the PC, but I still don't understand what's happened to them. I used to get them if I pressed A/D, but not any more

Do you need to rescan? They're shutting off terrestrial signals throughout the country and retuning the digital ones for more space.

My girlfriend showed me something she liked on her computer last night, and I was hoping to find it there this morning to sneakily get it for Christmas. But it doesn't seem to appear on yesterday's (or today's) 'history', not sure why; lots of other stuff does. Is there a way to discover the image, perhaps browsing viewed images from a specific time?

...wonder how to get the menu up to rescan? It was probably one of those which pops up from new and then disappears.

Usually there's a menu option called SETUP & its somewhere in there.

Not very technical-y but if you remember the site it might still have 'recently viewed'?

Could you just Google what you can remember of it?

That's just a small selection of 'history'. Not there! I can't understand it, it's not in history, now on bookmarks, but she hasn't cleared here history.

Zooo, I Googled it good. I'm going to have to resort to surreptitious questioning. "What's that thing you want for Christmas?"

:D

If it's not embarrassing you could describe it and someone might know what/where it is?

You can try! :) It was original artwork of harbour scenes, done in a vaguely naive manner, lot's of jolly boats and pretty houses with no regard for realistic perspective, by an artist possibly called Kathy Mc...something, but since googling it brings up no results, I might even have got that bit wrong.

I'm starting to get the feeling that Nogget isn't the computer whiz we thought he was.

http://kathycousart.blogspot.com/ ?

Rather like them, either way! Especially the cows.

Does an Google image search for 'harbour painting kathy' show anything familiar?

Dan

Just get her some socks...
